Good People Just doing good for People

Who we are and What we're about

Across underserved communities, there are families, churches, schools, community centers, and local organizations facing urgent needs that often go unnoticed. From infrastructure improvements and building repairs to disaster recovery, education support, clean water access, and community development projects, Just Do Good helps bridge the gap between those who want to help and those who need support.

We believe that generosity should be transparent, practical, and impactful. That's why we focus on sharing authentic stories, documenting progress, and connecting donors with projects that create lasting change. Every initiative is selected with a commitment to accountability, stewardship, and responsible resource management.

Whether you're looking to support a rural community improvement project, contribute to humanitarian relief efforts, help fund critical construction and renovation needs, or simply make a difference in someone's life, Just Do Good provides a platform where compassion turns into action.

Our Story

Why We Started

We are Tony and Anabelle, the couple behind this fundraising effort, and we are just a regular couple from Las Vegas, Nevada.

This project began with a simple desire to help.

After learning about the needs of a small rural church in Mexico, it became clear that their challenges were larger than their congregation could overcome alone. Despite years of faithful service, personal sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to their community, the church faced significant financial obstacles, including critical building repairs and remaining property debt.

Rather than stand by and do nothing, we decided to create a way for others who felt led to help to contribute directly to the church's needs.

Why Mexico?

People often ask why our first project focuses on helping communities in Mexico.

The answer is personal.

Tony's family roots are deeply connected to Mexico, and over the years, Mexico has become much more than a place we visit. It has become a second home.

We spend significant time there visiting both family by blood and the family we've been blessed to build through years of friendships and relationships. The people we have come to know throughout Mexico have touched our hearts in ways we never expected.

Every time we visit, we are reminded of something important.

Many of the communities we encounter live with far fewer material resources than most Americans take for granted. It is not uncommon for multiple generations of a family to share a small living space. Some homes lack conveniences that many of us consider basic necessities.

Yet despite these challenges, we consistently encounter extraordinary generosity, hospitality, resilience, and joy.

We've been welcomed into homes where families had very little, yet still offered us a meal.

We've witnessed neighbors helping neighbors without expecting anything in return.

We've seen communities come together to support one another during difficult times.

Those experiences have profoundly shaped our perspective.

They remind us that happiness is not measured by possessions.

True wealth is often found in family, faith, friendship, community, purpose, and connection.

At the same time, these experiences have also highlighted the incredible abundance many of us enjoy in the United States. Even when life feels difficult, most Americans have access to opportunities, resources, infrastructure, and support systems that many people around the world can only dream of.

Rather than feeling guilty about that abundance, we believe it creates an opportunity.

An opportunity to share.

An opportunity to help.

An opportunity to invest in people and communities that are working hard, supporting one another, and striving to build a better future.

That is why our mission currently focuses on helping communities in Mexico.

Not because they are strangers.

But because they have become family.

And family helps family.

What We Believe

We believe that:

  • Good people want to help when they know there is a genuine need.

  • Every donation, no matter the size, can make a meaningful impact.

  • Transparency and stewardship matter.

  • Communities are stronger when neighbors help neighbors.

  • Faith, hope, and generosity can cross borders.

Most importantly, we believe that doing good doesn't require permission, a title, or a large organization. Sometimes it simply requires a willing heart.

How It Works

Just Doing Good serves as a bridge between regular generous people who'd like to donate to something good to communities in need.

The current fundraising campaign supports a rural church in Mexico seeking to:

  • Replace a failing roof

  • Complete essential building renovations

  • Retire the remaining balance owed on the church property

  • Strengthen its ability to serve future generations

Donations made through the fundraising links are directed to accounts administered by church leadership. Just Doing Good does not receive or control donated funds and exists solely to help facilitate awareness, communication, and support for the project.

Looking Ahead

While today's focus is helping one church community, the vision behind Just Doing Good is larger.

As opportunities arise, we hope to help connect generous people with others and communities facing genuine needs, both religious and non-religious.

The goal is not to build a large organization.

The goal is simply to help where help is needed.

Our Motto

Good people helping good people.

Or, as we like to say:

Just Doing Good.

Meet the People Behind Just Doing Good

Hi, we're Anabelle and Tony, two regular people from Las Vegas, Nevada.

For the past five years, we've traveled annually to Isla Mujeres, a small island located just off the coast of Cancun, Mexico. What began as a vacation destination eventually became something much more meaningful. Over time, we developed genuine friendships with local families who welcomed us into their homes, shared their stories, and allowed us to experience the real Isla Mujeres beyond the tourist attractions.

The island became such a special place in our lives that we chose to get married there in 2022.

During our most recent visit, one of our dear friends, Samuel, invited us to attend his church, where he serves as an assistant pastor. What we experienced there deeply moved us and ultimately inspired the creation of this fundraiser.

Anabelle is an established couples therapist in Las Vegas and holds a PhD in Counseling. Throughout her life, she has participated in numerous fundraising efforts supporting schools, community programs, and charitable causes. Earlier in her life, she even helped organize fundraising initiatives supporting the Army National Guard in 2004 and 2005.

Tony is a union electrician by trade who understands firsthand the value of hard work, craftsmanship, and building things that serve communities for generations.

Neither of us ever imagined that one day we would be helping organize a fundraiser for a church community in another country.

Yet after building friendships and community on the island and witnessing these needs personally, we felt compelled to do something.

We're not professional fundraisers.

We're not backed by a large organization.

We're simply two people who saw a need, developed genuine relationships with a community we have come to love, and decided to help however we can.

We don't know exactly where this journey will lead after this project is complete.

What we do know is that this church needs help now.

Our immediate goal is to help this congregation replace its roof, complete critical renovations, and retire the remaining balance on its land so they can focus on serving their community without the constant burden of financial uncertainty.

At the end of the day, that's what Just Doing Good is all about.

Good people helping good people.

One act of generosity at a time.
